Desperate Housewives – But Are They Really Desperate?

by Lee Ann on April 23rd, 2008 | Drama, Sitcom, TV Personalities

After a hiatus due to the writers’ strike, Desperate Housewives is back. The antics of the women of Wisteria Lane continue with the usual angst, drama, and secrets. Although the last show before the break in episodes featured a major tornado striking Fairview, the show resumed with most of the debris cleared away and damage repaired.

I’ve watched the show since the first episode, and although I am glad to see the show return both to the ABC lineup and Sunday evening, I’ve Read More

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

by LJ Dovichi on April 19th, 2008 | Children's TV
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. For parents that brings back memories of the Mickey Mouse Club and the Mouseketeers, but today it means The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Playhouse Disney. Long gone is the live variety show featuring real kids, and in its place is a 3D animated show for preschoolers featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the rest of the gang, including Pete.

Beverly Hills 90210 lasted through the college years.

One of the most intriguing aspects to Gossip Girl, in both the books and the show, is the identity of Gossip Girl herself. Voiced by Kristin Bell, the face of Gossip Girl is Read More

Katie Couric Getting The Boot?

by TK on April 11th, 2008 | TV News, TV Personalities
An article in the NY Times suggested that Katie Couric may be a "lame duck" in her post as anchor of the "CBS Evening News". There appears to have been a meeting at CBS to discuss what Ms. Couric may do next.

My questions to the world is: Does anyone care??

Since taking over in the slot about a year and a half ago, her ratings have gone straight down. Not a single person I know watches the evening news on any channel, so we are left with asking, does it matter if she goes or stays?

The Little Einsteins

by LJ Dovichi on April 5th, 2008 | Children's TV
My son's favorite show in the whole world is "The Little Einsteins". He will sit in rapt attention from the opening song to the finishing credits and then ask to watch it again. All I can say is thank goodness for DVR and all the episodes that are already out on DVD. As a work at home mother, what I like about the show is not only does it entertain my three feet of fun so I can squeeze bits of work in while he watches, but it includes him by asking for audience participation and teaches children about music, Read More
