Fall Premieres: A Review of TV’s Newest Shows

Ah, yes, TV's fall season has started officially. And with it comes the promise of new good shows, but that's not always the case.

This week, four prominent shows shows premiered on network television.

Emmy Awards 2009

The 2009 Emmy Primetime Awards has just wrapped up with Neil Patrick Harris at the helm. This year, they've changed things a little bit and grouped all the awards according to their genre. First up was Comedy, then Reality, Miniseries, Variety and, last but not least, Drama.

Fall 2009: New Shows

All good things must come to an end. As depressing as it may sound, it only means that more good (even great) things are coming to replace the ones that have ended. And so, I give you an introduction to the new shows premiering this fall on prime time TV.

1. Accidentally On Purpose

Jenna Elfman plays Billie, who ends a troubling relationship with her boss, James, played by Grant Show, and ends up pregnant by a younger guy, Zack, played by Jon Foster, after one night. She decides to keep the baby and invites the father to live with her, too. Read More

Two New Shows for Sci-Fi Fans

Good news for science fiction TV fans! There are two new sci-fi shows on ABC TV. One premiered this summer, and another is premiering this fall: Defying Gravity and Flash Forward.

1. Defying Gravity

Defying Gravity premiered at the beginning of August on ABC. Eight astronauts are on a six-year mission to discover the solar system as the whole world tunes in through real-time footage. Troubles start when a mysterious force interferes with the lives and personalities of the astronauts aboard the spaceship. Created by James Parriot, Defying Gravity stars Ron Livingston, Malik Yoba, Christina Cox and Peter Hewitt. Season 1 ends Read More
