Ricki Lake is as infamous in the talk show world as Jerry Springer these days. Her original talk show ended in 2004, although it was wildly successful from its debut in 1993 until its demise 11 years later. It specialized involving the outrageous guests that the show invited, and also incorporated questions and comments from the live studio audience. Aside from rumored drug use, Ricki Lake had children, got divorced, and made a splash on Dancing With the Stars in her nine years off. Has there ever been a description of Zooey Deschanel that doesn't include the word "adorable" or "quirky"? ("Hot?" says my friend from work, but I digress.) Even our own Ron fell into the trap when he previewed her new sitcom, New Girl, two months ago. Because of the (never-ending) World Series, we've only had five episodes so far, but the Tuesday night time slot is now officially reserved for the quirky adorableness of Jess and her antics as the only female in a testosterone-driven apartment.

We all know them as Survivor winners, but Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca embody every meaning of the word. Besides winning one million dollars in their respective Survivor seasons, Ethan was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2009 and is currently in remission. Jenna was not diagnosed with cancer but has experienced it second-hand with Ethan and her mother, who died from breast cancer in 2004. The satirical rants of the overly energetic Stephen Colbert (pictured, with General Raymond Odierno) have always been a great source of entertainment for me. During the later evening hours of Monday through Thursday, Stephen Colbert never fails to give me some laughs and scoffs. As a spin-off of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Comedy Central must have known that comedy gold was about to strike again when the series first debuted in 2005. Since its debut, it has been nominated for several Emmys, Television Critics Awards, and Satellite Awards.
