Comedy, Drama, General TV, Sitcom

All good things must come to an end. As depressing as it may sound, it only means that more good (even great) things are coming to replace the ones that have ended. And so, I give you an introduction to the new shows premiering this fall on prime time TV.

Jenna Elfman plays Billie, who ends a troubling relationship with her boss, James, played by Grant Show, and ends up pregnant by a younger guy, Zack, played by Jon Foster, after one night. She decides to keep the baby and invites the father to live with her, too. Together, they live with her younger sister, Abby, played by Lennon Parkham, and her best friend, Olivia, played by Ashley Jensen. Pretty soon, the addition of a younger guy turns their place into a frathouse. Billie starts to regret her decision when she realizes she doesn’t know if she’s living with a boyfriend, a roommate or another kid.

Premieres Sept 21, Monday, 830/730c, CBS

2. Trauma

Set in San Francisco, Trauma follows the lives of first responder paramedics as they save lives in emergencies. “From the heights of the Transamerica Pyramid to the depths of the San Francisco Bay, our heroes must face the most extreme conditions to save lives and give meaning to their own existence in process.” And, to make the show more realistic, the production team filmed their emergency scenes in the city of San Francisco.

Premieres Sept. 28, Mondays, 9/8c, NBC

3. Forgotten

The Forgotten is a spin-off of the movie with same title starring Julianne Moore. The new show stars Christian Slater, a former cop whose daughter has disappeared. Together with other people, they try to solve the cases of those who have disappeared and have been forgotten.

Premieres Sept. 22, Tuesdays, 10/9c, ABC

4. Melrose Place

Yes, it’s a remake of the same show that thrived in the 90s. This time, of course, there are new characters and new stories to tell. Sydney Andrews, played by Laura Leighton, is the landlady of the complex. Tenants include married couple Jonah and Riley (played by Michael Rady and Jessica Lucas), Michael Mancini’s (the same guy from the original Melrose Place) son David (played by Shaun Sipos), high-powered publicist Ella (played by Katie Cassidy), medical student Lauren (played by Stephanie Jacobsen), country girl Violet (played by Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) and recovering alcoholic and chef Auggie (played by Colin Egglesfield). Are you curious?

Tuesdays, 9/8c, CW
