applesIf you love to watch Food Network’s cooking shows, and often find yourself sitting on the couch while watching saying, “I could make that!” or “I could do better than that!”, well, my foodie friends, here is your chance! Food Network is conducting open casting calls for several shows right now. There are castings available for everyone from the home cook to the professional chef. You just need to follow the directions on how to apply, and do it soon!

The Great Food Truck Race – If you have always wanted to own your very own food truck, this show gives you the opportunity to compete for a gourmet food truck and lots of cash! To apply, you will need a team with two other members to work alongside you. Send them an email at FoodTruckRaceCasting@rrstaff.com, and include your name and your team members’ names, ages, a photo of your team, your culinary background, and your food truck idea. The only catch is that you cannot apply if you have ever owned a food truck prior to the competition

Food Court Wars – This show will give you the opportunity to win a restaurant space in a food court for a year, and a monetary prize of almost $100,000. To apply for this competition, you have to be a two-person team, and they prefer teams with a relationship (such as couples, best friends, family members, or co-workers). Your idea must be totally original as well. To apply, go to www.FoodCourtWarsCasting.com, as they will soon be adding the information on what to send in to be considered.

New Show Alert! – A yet unnamed new show is looking for a guest host. If you have a glowing personality, and are a food blogger/video blogger, you may be what they are looking for. They do want someone who has a fan base with a great web presence. This will be a combination of a food and travel show. To apply send a video talking about your favorite food spots, like a food truck, bar, or restaurant. Include a link to your online profile and a phone number where you can be contacted. Send your video to casting@cookingchanneltv.com and submissions@noiseproinc.com. Both email addresses come up under the apply link, so be sure to send your video and information to both for your best chance.
