Glee came back with its spring premiere last Tuesday. While I think it’s lost a lot of its magic from the start of Season 1, the first episode definitely had its moments.
1. Rachel Berry
Whenever Rachel sings, it’s always a performance. Who could blame her? With a voice as powerful as hers, it would be a shame to keep it in the background. Her performance this week of “Gives You Hell” clearly demonstrates how she is meant to dominate the stage. If I was Mr. Schuester, I’d have a hard time deciding whether I should give others a chance or just give Rachel the lead solo every time. Because she’s just THAT good.
2. Jayma Mays
I love Jayma Mays. I think she is the cutest thing on the planet. When I heard she was going to be on Glee, I was so excited. She was annoying in Ugly Betty, but it’s hard to stay mad at her because she’s so cute. And in Glee, she plays such a lovable character that you can never be mad at. And I think it’s brave of her character to tell Will to get a life first before committing in a relationship with her, even though it’s breaking her heart.
3. Sue Sylvester
Sue Sylvester. No matter how much Will protests, they will never get rid of Sue because she is one of the best antagonists on TV. EVER. If you’re not tuning in to watch the Glee Club performances, you’re probably tuning in to find out what Sue has up her sleeve this time. I know I am.
Did you tune in to Glee’s premiere last Tuesday? What did you think?
