Michael C. Hall stars as Dexter Morgan, a forensic blood splatter analyst, working for the Miami Metro Police Department by day and doubling as a serial killer off-duty. His adoptive father taught him never to kill the innocent and only kill “the ones who deserve it”, which in this case includes killers who have escaped the traditional legal system or were never suspected in the first place.
