It’s the Osbournes!

Yes, you heard me correctly. The incredibly odd, wildly entertaining and expletive littering Osbourne family is getting a second shot at TV, based once again on, you guessed it, their very own strange family. The show this time around will be a little different, in the likes of variety TV formats, such as MadTV, SNL and others. Osbournes Reloaded will include comedic sketches and audience pranks.

The show will air as a six episode series on FOX, scheduled for a Tuesday, 9:30 p.m. EDT time slot, which puts it right after American Idol.

Sharon Osbourne commented on her family’s new show and why she thinks it will be successful.

“”We can do this differently because, firstly, we’re a family, and secondly, we’re a family that’s a little bit irreverent and edgy. That kind of makes it more spontaneous … because you never know what any of us is going to do.”

Spontaneous is certainly right, if anyone remembers the original Osbourne reality TV show that followed the lives of those in the family: Ozzy, Sharon and their kids Jack and Kelly.

Sharon, as stated above, has said that the variety TV genre will benefit from her family greatly because of how different they are, but she also has not hesitated to mention that the content of the show is suited more towards an older audience. She also described an example of a skit that involves young British actors dressing up as Ozzy and Sharon and imitating them while in different situations.

As for how Sharon feels about her children and how they will contribute to the show:

“I’m really proud of the way my kids have turned out, it’s very hard coming from a show business family where the mom and dad are established and so much is expected of your kids.”

“My kids are very talented,” she said. “My daughter’s not there because she’s got big boobs and done a sex tape. My son’s not there because he’s a freeloader. They’re there because they deserve to have their own show. They can hold it up.”

With a comment like that, I believe the Osbournes Reloaded will be filled with similarly raunchy humor, and this show will be anything but dull.
