child chefRachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off is finally bringing kids into the world of cooking. This unique competition spinoff is proving that kids do have the power to cook. It is also proving that they can cook good food.

The show’s format is similar to other Rachael vs. Guy competitions. The kids are placed on the two teams. They are given a challenge in which to showcase their skills. The winner gets a prize. Then the kids compete against each other to see who will be eliminated. A winner and loser are chosen in each episode.

The show also cleverly includes the parents in the show with commentary while their kids are cooking. While this is a good way to inform viewers that the parents are included, you also get a chance to watch their reaction when their kids make a mistake. It is quite an interesting thing to see. Of course, you also feel their pain when kitchen accidents happen, such as a kid accidentally cutting himself on the second episode.

The kids themselves are cute bundles of personality who are very serious about their cooking. It is great to watch them learn and grow from this experience. It is also great to see them handle themselves in situations where things don’t go perfect. There certainly is a level of maturity from these kids that you don’t see in child stars.

Aside from the cuteness factor, Rachael and Guy interact very well with the kids. You can tell that these hosts are really eager and excited to taste the kids’ food. They are quite the encouraging co-hosts in letting the kids be the real stars.

So far, the Food Network has gotten this one right. It is certainly a refreshing change from some of the shows that Food Network has showcased lately.

The show airs on Sunday nights at 9 pm on the Food Network channel in your area. This one is something that the whole family can watch.4 recliners
