Is it just me, or was the audition round of American Idol just flat this year? The great auditions weren't all that great. The bad auditions weren't as funny as in the past. I don't know if they ran through the very best and the very worst and we're left with something in the middle or if it is just a case of "we've seen it all before". Reality shows have been played on TV for what seems like forever now. And I don't think they're going away for a long, long time. Reality shows have a contrasting effect on people. People either love them or they hate them. I avoided watching reality TV like the plague. I couldn't imagine the appeal and I was vocal in my opinions. So, I was careful not to watch because I knew if I didn't watch them, there was no possible chance I'd get sucked into them and end up looking like a fool. Also, I'd tune out conversations on the shows and their contestants for the very same reasons.
