After a decade-long hiatus,
Beavis and Butthead returned to the small screen last week. Much fanfare accompanied the second coming of
Mike Judge’s earliest cartoon creation.
MTV hyped the show heavily and pumped up the angle of the surly teens commenting on reality TV shows such as
Jersey Shore (as opposed to the bad music videos the boys watched in the old days). Fitting, I suppose, since
MTV is no longer in the business of showing music videos, instead turning over much of its programming to reality TV.
