The City – “Roommate Wanted”

Last Tuesday’s episode of The City was strangely reminiscent of a certain The Hills Season 3 episode when Heidi moved out of her apartment with Lauren and moved in with Spencer… Well, minus the ego-tripping spoiled kid, but add a really random fight out of nowhere between Roxy and Whitney, you end up with Roxy moving out of Whitney’s apartment. The week before that, Kelly Cutrone presented Whitney with an opportunity to have Whitney’s line, “WhitneyEVE” be worn by Canadian pop star, Lights, who has been making her way through the US music charts. Roxy was given this assignment since...

My Reality TV Show Pitch

OK. Reality TV has transformed the face of America. Or maybe it just reflects what we have collectively become as a society. In either case, reality TV represents the worst in our culture.  It has long been said that the way to riches in entertainment is to appeal to the lowest common denominator.  In the last decade or so, the TV networks have raised that creed to a high art form. I completely understand the need to adjust whatever is taking place in your pants, but do we really need...

Last Wednesday on MTV’s Fresh Meat 2, the game changed as alliances began to crumble as Wes and his other members turned on Wes’ closest friend, Danny. Week after week, teams have been eliminated, and there are only a few teams left. Each day brings the teams one step closer to the final challenge and the grand prize of $300,000 that will be split among the top 3 of the final 4 teams. On this past episode, in typical RW/RR challenge fashion, people were scrambling to save their butts not to end up in Exile. Wes’ alliance (made up of...

The Hills: The Final Season

It gives me great sadness to say that after the 6 season, MTV’s hit reality tv show, The Hills, will be ending. The show was a spin-off of the MTV hit, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. It followed Lauren Conrad in her move from Laguna to Los Angeles and the trials and tribulations with her friends Heidi Montag, Whitney Port, and Audrina Partridge. 1st Season Lauren decides to move to Los Angeles after her break up with Jason and to go to school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She and Heidi move in and meet Audrina who...
