Terminator Series Finished?

picWhat happens to a show that doesn’t pull in enough ratings?

It gets canned.

Unfortunately Fox’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles may be canceled. It already had one final shot to prove it was still worth keeping. Rumors of cancellation surfaced when ratings from the entire season were released, they ultimately revealed a show with a below par rating.

Many critics blame the show’s current time slot, Friday evening. Although Terminator did have an initial Monday night airing session, it’s worth mentioning that it pulled in very similar ratings.

Fox bigwigs held off until Terminator’s season finale to make any harsh decisions, but after it aired on Friday, April 13 with a low 1.3 rating and a 5 share in the adult viewers demographic, things are looking very grim for Sarah Connor.

If the fans band together and show a little enthusiasm, however, it would not be the first time they saved a beloved show. Some of you may remember me mentioning a little doozy called Jericho. That was actually resurrected from the dead by fan protests but later bit the dust a second time because of poor ratings… again.

Regardless, Fox still seems to be keeping quiet about the decision and has commented with a simple statement, “No decision has been made yet.”

There is still hope for Terminator fans out there, but keep in mind, folks, TV networks are never too generous with information about show cancellations. All broadcasting companies seem to like keeping bad news a secret until the last minute. This looks to be the case with Sarah Connor as well.
