The Biggest Loser on NBC is now on its eight season. The Biggest Loser uproots sixteen contestants to a ranch, controls their food and makes them exercise for hours every day. The last man (or woman) standing and having lost the most weight wins.
A couple of episodes have aired already and all their stories have been inspirational. Let’s do a rundown of the remaining contestants.
1. Allen Smith is a 44-year old firefighter from Columbus, Indiana. He joined the Biggest Loser because his weight has become a hindrance for him to do his job effectively. He started out at 325 pounds and, at Week 7, he has lost 63 pounds.
2. Amanda Arlauskas is a 19-year old patient care technician from Butler, New Jersey. She attends The Biggest Loser ranch so she can take control of her life before she reaches her 20s. She started at 250 pounds and, at Week 7, has lost 36 pounds.
3. Daniel Wright is a 20-year old student from Willow Spring, North Carolina. He was voted as a fan favorite in Season 7 and was chosen by the audience to come back for a second chance. He started at 312 pounds.
4. Danny Cahill is a 39-year old land surveyor/musician from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He started out at 430 pounds and, now at Week 7, has lost 85 pounds.
5. Liz Young, at 49, is the oldest person in the entire ranch. At first, she wanted to lose weight, but eventually it became a mission to tell everyone, older people can still do anything they wanted to do. She started at 267 pounds and at Week 7 has lost 46 pounds.
