Everywhere we look, it seems as if the US financial crisis has hit us big time. Retail stores are closing, companies are filing for bankruptcy and millions of employees are getting laid off. Apparently, even the TV scene in the US has been hit by the declining economy. A lot of shows have been getting canceled by network executives or simply ending their run on the small screen.
The canceled TV shows include:
- The Ex List - canceled after four episodes; Elizabeth Reaser stars in this show about a girl who visits a fortune teller where she finds out that she’s already met the one. And now, she has to find out which one it is from her list of ex-boyfriends.
- Lipstick Jungle – canceled after two seasons; Lipstick Jungle is the story of three friends, an editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, a movie executive and an up-and-coming fashion designer, who experience life at the top of their games.
- MADtv- canceled after fourteen seasons; MADtv is a sketch comedy show, which parodies a lot of popular TV shows, movies and politics.
- My Own Worst Enemy – canceled after nine episodes; Christian Slater stars in an action-packed show about a man leading a double life, as a simple businessman and a trained hitman, and never knowing about the identity of the other.
The TV shows ending their run on TV include:
- Boston Legal – ending after five season on air
- ER – ending after fifteen seasons
- King Of The Hill – ending after thirteen seasons
- Late Night With Conan O’Brien – ending after sixteen seasons
- The Shield – ending after seven seasons
- The Tonight Show With Jay Leno – ending after seventeen seasons
