Can’t wait to watch more shows? Here are some more set to premiere on your TV this July and August.

July

Rizzoli and Isles (TNT)

Boston detective Jane Rizzoli (played by Angie Harmon) and medical examiner Maura Isles (played by Sasha Alexander), despite having opposite personalities, team up together to solve crimes and bust Boston’s most notorious criminals. Jane is the only female detective in her division. She’s a tough cop who doesn’t let her guard down (except with Maura) and plays basketball than her brother. Maura prefers being with the dead than the living and must learn not to diagnose every single person she meets, including her dates.

The Bridge (CBS)

A police drama from Canada, The Bridge is loosely based on the work of former Toronto police union head Craig Bromell. Frank Leo has been unanimously elected as head of the police union. And he has vowed to rid the city of its notorious criminals while keeping the best interest for his rank-and-file members.

Covert Affairs (USA)

Piper Perabo plays Annie Walker, an exceptional linguist (fluent in six languages), has just been promoted to field operative, a month before her CIA training is supposed to end. She suspects they’re using her to get to someone from her past but she doesn’t know what or who. Christopher Gorham plays Auggie Anderson, a CIA tech ops expert who was blinded while on assignment and helps Annie weave through the political web of the CIA.

The Big C (Showtime)

Laura Linney is a reserved suburban wife  and mother who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. She now forces herself to shake up her life and live with hope and humor despite living with an immature husband.

Rubicon (AMC)

Fresh from the success of the miniseries The Pacific, James Badge Dale is back as Will Travers, an intelligence analyst who cracks codes for a living. He begins to suspect that his employers are not exactly who they appear to be.

Melissa and Joey (ABC Family)

Melissa Joan Hart plays Mel, an overworked local politician. When her sister goes to prison and her husband fleeing, she finds a herself an instant parent to her teenaged niece Lennox and pre-teen nephew Ryder. Joey Lawrence plays Joe, who’s desperate for a job and agrees to be the family’s “manny”.
